Happy May Day! I've been reading a few blogs and realized it was May Day. On several of the blogs, they talked about gifting people with flowers today. This is something I was not familiar with but I really like it. Now, this has me wondering am I the only one who was unaware of this neat tradition. Is this "celebrated" more in certain areas of the country or am I just living under a rock? I am a Southern girl and I would love another occasion to receive flowers and to bless someone else with them as well. Please share your thoughts!

I am southern too and every year in elementary school we would make (color) flower baskets and we were supposed to leave them on someone's doorstep. So it is ingrained in my brain that we are supposed to give someone flowers on May Day. :) I don't know where it came from though.
We used to have a May pole dance when we were little...but haven't heard much lately!!
