Back To School

I can't believe it is that time of year again! Here are some pictures of big girl's first day of 2nd grade. It was a day filled with new adventures - riding a school bus for the first time, a new school, a new teacher, making new friends! So far, so good!

Mother's Day

A friend of mine sent this video to me and I wanted to share it. This is so sweet and a good reminder to savor every moment with our kids, even the ones that drive us crazy, because you never know when it will be a "last". Happy Mother's Day!!!

Strawberry Picking

In April, we took our yearly trip to the strawberry patch. Every year we take several pictures that are very similar to ones taken in previous years. It is so much fun to look back and see several years of pictures that look almost the same with the exception of the children being different ages. A fun tradition!

Happy 3rd Birthday Harrison!

Over the weekend, we celebrated with his little cousin Grayson who had just turned 2 years old. They had a Sesame Street themed party. Both boys LOVE Elmo so it seemed like a fun idea to have their family party together.

Today, April 28th, was Harrison's 3rd Birthday! We had an exciting evening full of his favorite things: pizza, presents, balloons, birthday cake, and icecream. Dee joined us in the festivities!

We love you so much Harrison. You are a precious gift from God. We are so thankful for you!

March 18, 2009 - Our 9th Wedding Anniversary

March 18, 2000 - A not so clear picture of us on our wedding day.
A little girl who is excited because she gets to wear her new spring dress to go out and celebrate Mom and Dad's anniversary.
The beautiful flowers I received from my beloved!

We had a nice family evening out. It is hard to believe that 9 years have passed. We have been so blessed in many ways but the best gift has been our two, beautiful children.

A Budding Actress

Last week, my little drama queen, was one of the stars of a little play about circus animals. It was really cute. She poured her heart and soul into this production. Well, actually she was a little disappointed that she was an elephant. She would have much rather been a kitty cat but Mr Todd taught the whole class a very important lesson. It goes like this: You get what you get and you don 't throw a fit! Those are words to live by!!!

acting like a monkey
acting like an elephant
receiving her medal for an outstanding performance
a group shot of the cast
with one of her adoring fans

San Antonio

dining at a restaurant outside the mall at the Riverwalk
the guys at the hot tub - too hot for little guy and daddy forgot his suit
the highlight of the trip for the kids - swimming at the hotel
not landscape we are use to seeing back home
The Alamo - the educational part of our trip
a pretty view of the river
picture in front of a pretty waterfall
marriage island right outside of the second hotel we stayed in - We witnessed a wedding while we were there.
The historic Menger hotel where we stayed the first night. This is the hotel where my grandparents honeymooned many years ago. It was right next to the Alamo.

We had lots of fun on this little trip. We wish Daddy had more meeting in fun places! The kids and I were on our own for two days while Daddy was in meetings. We did some shopping, went to a show at the I-Max, and we went to the Children's Museum. I love the way we were able to walk to everything that we wanted to do. A fun place to visit!
