First Day of First Grade

This is my sweetheart's first day of first grade. The first day she has stayed at school all day. She was so excited. She can't wait for Art class and she found out that they will be doing Chapel this year. She is not quite sure what Chapel is but she said, "I have a feeling I'm going to love it!". When I picked her up she filled me in on her day and let me know that she was exhausted. Poor thing had homework on the first day of first grade. They don't waste any time! She is enjoying being with her old friends and making new ones.

Little brother was glad to see his sister after a long day of school. He's not quite sure what to make of her absence. I think he is enjoying the extra attention from Mom but is really happy to have his playmate back in the afternoons.

Be Still My Heart!

The Birthday Girl and Her Special Princess Spa Birthday Party

On June 18th, my sweet little girl turned 6 years old. I can not believe it!!! How the years do fly by!! The day before her birthday, she had her Princess Spa birthday party. This was her very first birthday party that has not been held at our home. She was SO excited about it. She invited the girls from her small class at school. All came except for one who was out of town. So we had six little girls which turned out to be a good number for this party. Here are a few of the cute pics that were taken.
They all had a great time and I think this is a party she will remember for a very long time. We love you sweetheart!!!!

First Dance Recital

Last Saturday, my daughter had her first dance recital. It was quite a production! It is amazing how much practice, money, and effort went into her 2 1/2 minute performance! But, it was great! She looked so cute and her dance moves were hilarious. She enjoyed her moment on the big stage but she is glad that it is over. She was so excited that her Dee, Aunt TaTa, Nana, Poochie, Mary, and Bekah all came to see her. Thanks to all that came and participated in this milestone!

The Tooth Fairy Delivered

Well, the tooth fairy came and did her duty. As you can see, my daughter was pleased with what was left for her. She has concluded that the tooth fairy must be invisible because she stayed up all night and never saw a thing. I could honestly reply that I have never seen the tooth fairy myself! My little sweetie is checking the rest of her teeth daily for any sign of a wiggle. Much to her delight, one of her bottom teeth is slightly loose! How many teeth left to go?
